Commercial Security Window Film for Vulnerable Glass

Security film helps hold broken glass together; a specified frame attachment helps keep it in the opening. We scope the film, attachment and frame for each entry, storefront and classroom—no inflated promises.

What security film can—and can't—do

Glass retention: Safety and security film helps hold fragments together when glass breaks, reducing loose shards.

Frame attachment: 3M Impact Protection Attachment is required for specified break-entry applications so filmed glass stays anchored.

Forced-entry delay: A correctly specified assembly may help delay entry. No film guarantees a delay time or stops an intruder.

Ballistic is separate: Ordinary security films are not bullet-resistant. C-Bond BRS is a separate system, qualified only for its tested configuration.

Security projects in our record

Schools, a storefront and a faith-based campus—each documented with the actual scope installed.

Security film for Delaware and Eastern Shore facilities

We review school, church, retail, healthcare and government glass across Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore. Security work starts with a site review of the glass, frames and the objective you need to document.

How we scope a security project

Define the objective: Glass retention, smash-and-grab delay, or a documented school or grant requirement.

Inspect each opening: Glass type, frame condition and whether attachment is required or suitable.

Specify the assembly: Film, attachment and documentation matched to the opening—quoted opening by opening.

Frequently asked questions

Is security window film bulletproof?

No. Ordinary 3M security films are not bullet-resistant. C-Bond BRS is a separate ballistic-resistant system that applies only to the exact tested glass, treatment, film and installation configuration.

Does security film stop a break-in?

No film stops an intruder. A correctly specified film-and-attachment assembly may help retain broken glass and delay entry; it supports, not replaces, locks, alarms and response plans.

Do we need frame attachment?

For specified break-entry applications, 3M requires Impact Protection Attachment. We check frame suitability on site and include attachment in the scope where it's required.

Can security film go on existing doors and storefronts?

Often, subject to glass and frame compatibility. Entry doors and sidelites are reviewed individually during the site assessment.
