Project: Delaware Technical Community College — Student Services Offices
Location: Georgetown, Delaware
Archived film selection: Evening View 25% solar reflective film
Source: Shore project archive; owner-confirmed October 5, 2026
Facilities wanted to reduce solar energy and glare in student services offices.
Interior furnishings and an aesthetically acceptable glazing appearance were also part of the brief.
Review solar exposure and glare at occupied office glazing.
Include interior furnishing exposure in product selection.
Choose an appearance acceptable to the facility rather than selecting by darkness alone.
Evening View 25% solar reflective film was the archived selection for these offices.
Solar-control performance, visible light and reflectivity are separate considerations. The archived shade designation does not establish installed performance on every glass type.
A reflective solar film should not be presented as dependable nighttime privacy when the interior is brighter. Adjustable treatments can continue to serve that role.
The archive documents the Evening View 25% film selection for Georgetown student services offices.
No square footage, completion date, measured energy savings or room-temperature change is supplied for this record.
The project records a facility-specific solar-control direction that considered glare, furnishings and appearance together.
No measured before-and-after operating result is published.
For another school or office, Shore should review the existing glazing, access and the room’s actual use before recommending a film.
