Shore Tint & More installed approximately 450 square feet of window film at TidalHealth’s healthcare facility in Seaford’s Nylon Capital Center, combining 3M Night Vision 15 for common-area heat and glare control, frosted film for selected privacy needs, and blackout film to conceal mechanical rooms and walls behind glass.
3M Night Vision 15 was installed on sun-exposed common-area glass, where the outward view had to stay usable while solar heat and glare came down. Frosted film was applied to selected glass to diffuse light and obscure direct views through those panes. Blackout film was used where nothing should show through at all — mechanical and electrical room openings, and glazing with a wall directly behind it.
A solar film like Night Vision 15 does not guarantee nighttime privacy. How visible a space is through the glass depends on the relative lighting on each side, so solar tint is a comfort and daylight-management product and is not a substitute for the clinical privacy controls a healthcare operator manages separately.
Frost is translucent — light passes while direct views are obscured, and how private it feels depends on coverage, distance, and lighting on each side. Blackout film is opaque, which is why opaque blackout film was selected for equipment rooms and to conceal walls behind glazing.
